LEASE OPTIONS - WHAT ARE THEY & HOW DO THEY WORK
So, how can we run a scheme that offers to purchase your property at, or close to, current market value?
We use something called a LEASE OPTION.
How does a lease option work for YOU?
It gives YOU the flexibility to move on with your life quickly rather than waiting around, hoping you might sell your property the conventional way. It also means your buyer is able to move into the property without having to find a large deposit and without having to obtain a traditional mortgage.
The Lease option is a legally drawn up document between the buyer and the seller that grants the buyer an option to buy the property at an agreed price and in a specific timeframe normally 1-5 years.
The buyer can choose to exercise their right to purchase at any time during the option period.
Freedays Property Services would normally take a lease option to buy the property over the agreed term and during this term we will either rent the property out or we will sell the option on to a Tenant Buyer (under our 'Rent to Own' scheme) who will purchase the property in the same way.
Either way it’s off your hands and you can get on with your life.
In some cases we can even take over your mortgage payments (if you have any) and cover all maintenance costs as well.
So, apart from still having your name on the Title Deeds, you can move on with your life and not have to worry about your property.
